Discipline/Conduct |
|
||||
|
Our class uses a ladder for behavior management. Each Monday the
students start with their clip on the green rung. For exemplifying
excellent behavior, the students may move their clips up. Excellent
behavior includes, but is not limited to, displaying good citizenship, being
helpful, and turning in all work on time. Students making it to the
white or purple (top line) lines at the end of the week will receive a
reward.
However, if a student displays inappropriate behavior, they will have
to move their clip down. Students who move below the green rung will
start on the green line the next day. There are three rows below
green. The line below green is orange and student receives an
appropriate consequence. The second line below green is yellow and student
receives appropriate consequences and a note home. The third line below
green is red which results in a phone call home. Parent conferences
will be requested for repeated misbehaviors, so we can come up with a
solutions together. |

Planner/Homework |
|
||||
|
Each night students will be given homework
and required to have their planner signed by a parent or guardian.
Signing the planner is vital as this is the most efficient form of daily
contact between teacher and parent. Students will write their homework
in their planner daily. Please make sure your child gives you his/her
planner to check every day, as I will write notes periodically notifying you
of certain events, etc. Also, I will be checking the planners each day
so feel free to write notes to me in the planners. |
