About Miss Luken
I believe that art is fundamental in a child’s education and I continually strive to give each of my students a meaningful, high quality art education. I am very fortunate to be here at Bay Meadows with such wonderful students parents and faculty.
Hi! I’m Barbra Luken, the art teacher at Bay Meadows Elementary School. I have been teaching at Bay Meadows since 1994. I am a native Floridian from Merritt Island, Fl. I am proud to be a 1994 University of Florida Grad with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art Education. Go Gators! I was selected as Bay Meadows 1999 Teacher of the Year and received National Board Certification in 2003. Teaching over 500 students is a big challenge, but one I am happy to take on.
