Project P.O.W.E.R. (Power Of Words when Everyone Reads) was a project of Mrs. Keeler's classes at the end of the 2005 - 2006 school year. More than 2,000 books were collected from parents, community leaders, businesses, and other organizations and were distributed to Lee Middle School students. Students were allowed to select a book of their choice to read over the summer.
The project was also the focus of a story on Central Florida News 13 in July. Plans are underway to expand the project this year.
