Course Overview
The purpose of this course is to enable students to acquire and organize information about places, people, and culture in Asia, Africa, and Australia.

Course Objectives
After successfully completing this course, students will:

Employ the geographic perspective to identify, analyze, and predict solutions to geographic issues or concerns.

Apply systematic approaches to the observation and analysis of humans and their environment.

Use maps, globes, charts, graphs, and other tools of geography to gather and interpret data and to draw conclusions about physical and human patterns.

Demonstrate understanding of the concepts of location, place, movements, and region.

Demonstrate understanding of how human attitudes, objectives, and technical skills influence the interaction of humans and the physical environment.

Demonstrate understanding of the concepts of transition and change.

Apply research, study, critical-thinking, and decision-making skills.

Grading Overview
Homework = 20%
Class Work = 25%
Projects = 20%
Tests/Quizzes = 25%
Accelerated Reader = 10%


Make-Up Work Policy:  Students will be given the same number of days that they were absent plus one day to make up their missed work.  It is the RESPONSIBILITY OF THE STUDENT to obtain, complete, and turn in their missed work on time!

NO LATE WORK WILL BE ACCEPTED!!
