This year we will study Physical Science in 7 th grade. We are using the curriculum and textbook by It’s About Time called Interactions in Physical Science. Each student will use a workbook and a textbook in class. Students will keep their papers in their binder. The website for Interactions Physical Science is: http://cpucips.sdsu.edu. To get to the student site, click on Interactions, and then click on FIRST EDITION, and then click on STUDENT SITE. There are test prep (to study for the Chapter Tests) and extra credit activities as well as the simulators that we use in class.

The assignment each day is on the board and is to be written in the Planner by the student. Planners are graded monthly. Please check your child’s Planner each day to see that the assignments and due dates are being written.
-
Bell Work is also done each day at the beginning of each period and is collected and graded at the end of each week.
-
Homework is assigned each week and is due the next day. There is a homework assignment, called Practice, for homework after each Activity.
-
Supplies needed for Science are a binder for papers (one for multiple subjects or a separate one is O.K.), a set of A-Z dividers for vocabulary, white wide-ruled notebook paper, blue or black ink pens, pencils or mechanical pencils with erasers, and a personal pencil sharpener.
-
The team discipline plan will be in effect in this class all year.
