Information About Ms. Abrew
I moved to Orlando, Florida from the Island of Puerto Rico when I was 12 years old. I was in the eighth grade, and I attended Walker Middle School. During my ninth and tenth grade year, I attended Oak Ridge High School. Then I attended Cypress Creek High School for my junior and senior year. I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Radio / Television Production from the University of Central Florida in 1997. I then began working as a Reading Teacher at Meadow Woods Middle School. I then taught English I and Yearbook Journalism at Cypress Creek High. Meanwhile, I was still attending UCF pursuing a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership. I went back to Meadow Woods to teach 7th grade Language Arts. I earned my Master's in 2002 and became a Dean at Howard Middle School. In 2004, I got appointed as the Assistant at Union Park Elementary, and in 2006 I received the wonderful and exciting news that I would be able to continue working in the Union Park community as the Assistant Principal at Union Park Middle. I love what I do because being around kids keeps my heart young! I don't ever feel like I'm going to work. |
